The Freedom Run is chaired by experienced runners and race managers. We strive to be the premier running event in Utah County. 5K and 10K runners will receive a micro-fiber short sleeve race shirt as long as supplies last. You will know if we are out of your size when you register as we will remove sizes from the registration form as we run out of unassigned inventory. 1M participants will receive a cotton t-shirt.

Late registration will take place at Hogi Yogi on July 3rd from noon til 7:00 pm. You may also register on July 4th at the Kiwanis Park pavillion, but remember that registration will end at 6:00 am. Shirts are not guaranteed with late registration.
NOTE: We are allowing Family discounts for those who register before June 1st. The first family member will register for the full price, then each subsequent family member can register at a price reduced by $2. The discount is gone after June 1st. The discount will be automatically deducted as you register all of the family members at the same time on Active.com. If you don't register everyone at the same time, you will not get the discount. Keep in mind, this is a benefit intended only for family members that share the same current address.
If you are running with a stroller, you must start at the back of the race field and exercise extreme caution so as not to collide with any other runner.
Race packs can be picked up on July 2nd or 3rd at Hogi Yogi on University Avenue and Bulldog Avenue (1230 North) in Provo from Noon till 7:00 pm or at Kiwanis Park on the morning of the race. Those who register after July 1st will need to pick up packets on race morning. Please allow plenty of time for you to get to your starting area.
We continue to use an electronic timing system for the races this year. You will be asked to wear an RFID token on your shoe during the race. These tokens will help record your start and finish time at the end of the race and speed up the race reporting process. They must be returned at the finish line or mailed to the Freedom Festival Office.
Race routes will remain the same as last year. Check out the interactive maps for the 5K and 10K. 5K map 10K map. The 1 Mile course is entirely within the confines of Kiwanis park. The 1M course is on grass and is a considerable challenge to strollers with small wheels. 1M runners will cross at least one curb.
Awards
The Freedom Run provides cash prizes and awards to the overall winners of both the 5K and 10K ($300 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd place, and $100 for 3rd place) for both men and women. We also provide age group awards 3 deep for age groups that usually span 5 years. Awards are also provided for the 1 Mile participants. Overall awards are 3 deep in both male and female (see the "Awards Breakdown" at the bottom of the page under Resources). Age group awards are given to children up to 13. Age groups usually span 2 years. Everyone who finishes gets a finishers award in the form of a water bottle.
