America's Freedom Festival

You'll never believe the sight you'll see on June 21st at the Utah Valley University! More than a thousand darling children, ages newborn to 30 months, will be showing their stuff at the 2008 Freedom Festival Baby Contest. This heartwarming event is a fun way for parents to share their child's unique personality and beauty with the community and walk away with some really great gifts!

"The Baby Contest has been a great way for the community to come together in celebration of children and America's Freedom Festival", said Nancy Cannon, chair, Baby Contest. "This is a fun event that attracts thousands of children and their proud parents."

It takes the efforts of many generous sponsors and more than 150 volunteers, including judges, to make the Baby Contest successful. The volunteers have been dedicated, as they have returned year after year to help with the event.

Babies will only be judged at their respective age-group times. Once the age-group time closes, there will be no more juding for that age group. If an entrant is in line at the close time, they will be able to be judged. Think of your bank drive-up teller line...same concept. No exceptions.

Parking

Parking is available all around campus and is free.

Food

Food will be available from 10-3 P.M. in the UVU Sorenson Center Food Court. There will be special food and prices available for kids, parents and grandparents alike!

Lots of great stuff this year for mommy and baby!

Vendors

An exciting new piece is educational classes provided by our vendors on the hour from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. More information to follow.

Vendors will be located in the UVU Sorensen Student Center Center Stage.

Award Celebration

The Award Celebration is a great way to culminate the day by celebrating with the winners, great music, videos of the day, see you child on the big screen and lots of awards to be given out!

    Winners Awards
    All winners will receive a medal, a winner t-shirt, gifts from Mary Kay Cosmetics, books, $25 gift certificate from Tiny Touches, and much more.

    Door Prize Give Away at Award Celebration
    In the registration packet, each parent will be given two raffle type tickets. When arriving at the Award Celebration, place your raffle ticket into one of the boxes at the door. All boxes will be combined into one for the door prize give away. Only those tickets in the official door prize boxes will be eligible for door prizes.

    Door Prize Distribution
    The door prizes will not be brought to the winners – the prizes will be taken to a door prize table with the number attached. The winners will pick up their prize at the table with their number that matches the prize.

    The Grand Prize Drawing
    The grand prize this year will include tickets to the Stadium of Fire, tickets to the UVU concert celebration on June 30th , a $1000.00 photo package from fogarty FOTO, and many other prizes.

Baby Contest Winners in Grand Parade or Children’s Parade

Winners will have the opportunity to stroller down the Grand Parade route on July 4th and show off your beautiful baby to all the 250,000 spectators or the Children’s Parade on June 28th.
