About
America's Freedom Festival at Provo, Utah, is one of the premier
patriotic celebrations in America. Its roots trace back to the 1870s, more than
two decades before Utah became a state.
The current Festival organization is a private, non-profit, non-political foundation
that plans and organizes annual celebrations and commemorative events that go beyond
a one-day holiday. Today's Festival mounts over 25 annual events, starting in March,
culminating in the Independence Day celebration. Other new events are being planned
for fall and early winter.
The purpose of the festival is to commemorate our Day of Independence and celebrate
the spirit of America by creating festivities that instill a deeper sense of patriotism
in the hearts of those involved. Local and state governments, generous sponsors, event chairs,
and literally thousands of volunteers work together to organize events for men, women,
and children of all ages.
America's Freedom Festival at Provo is recognized as one of America's biggest and best patriotic
attractions, drawing in hundreds of thousands of spectators every year from all 50 states and
other nations. It was named as one of North America's Top 100 Events by Destinations Magazine
and the American Bus Association.
