Packet-Pickup
Packet-pickup will start on July 2nd at the Hogi Yogi on the Corner of Bulldog and University Avenue at Noon and will go till 7:00 PM. We will be there again on July 3rd from Noon till 7:00 PM. We will not have packet-pickup on Sunday July 4th. Sorry folks, that’s just the way it is. Parking is a challenge at Hogi Yogi for the number of folks coming through. We encourage you to park in the parking lots of Provo Rec to the west or BYU to the north when you come for packet-pickup. Just be careful crossing the street! While you are there, grab a delicious chicken bowl!
Packet-pickup will resume July 5th at 5:15 AM at the pavilion in Kiwanis Park. We encourage you to pick-up your packet early so that you are not pressured just before the race.
At packet-pickup, you will receive your bib number with a timing chip attached, your race shirt, and a bag of goodies (if sponsors give us some goodies). You need to show ID to pick-up your packet. We do allow family members to pick-up packets of their relations but they must sign for the goods!
If after you pick-up your packet you do not come to the race, you are responsible for getting the timing chip back to the Freedom Festival offices. (Their address is printed on the chip, which looks like a half a credit card with holes in it.) All racers are expected to return their chip at the finish line. A $5 fee is charged for all missing chips.
Disclaimer: Shirts and other goodies are distributed at packet-pickup. They are not available to those that miss the event. You are buying admission to the event, not the bag of goodies.
