Firecracker Softball Tournament

Few words ring as patriotic in the ears of Americans as these:

Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don’t care if I never get back,
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don’t win it’s a shame.
For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out,
At the old ball game.

In the spirit of our number one pastime, America’s Freedom Festival will present the 2010 Firecracker Softball Tournament. Adult men’s and women’s teams are invited to this USSSA sanctioned event. A sliding self-classifying bracket format will be used to provide quality competition for all team classifications. All teams will be guaranteed three games.

Women’s tournament: June 19, 2010 – Registration Deadline, Monday, June 14 at 6:00 pm

Men’s tournament: June 25-26, 2010 – Registration Deadline, Monday, June 21 at 6:00 pm

Both tournaments will be held at Footprinters Softball Complex, 1150 S. 1350 W., Provo, UT 84601.

Firecracker Tournament director Shellianne White says each team is important. “We just want people to come out and have fun,” White says. “You can lose two games and still be playing somewhere.” Awards sponsored by MVP Sports are given to the top three teams in the “A” bracket and the top two teams in the “B”.
