New rounds start on June 6th, 13th and 20th, 2015.

GIGG STAGE VOTING SYSTEM

Each competition is made up of an Audition Phase and up to 4 Voting Phases. During the Audition Phase of a Gigg competition, artists will have the opportunity to upload their video entry and immediately begin sharing and promoting their unique competition page link.

Once the Audition Phase has ended, the voting phases begin. In each voting phase, a certain amount of entries will be passed on to the subsequent round either by popular vote or by Gigg Picks. A Gigg Pick is a vote cast by members of the Gigg Advisory Board who are industry professionals made up of producers, musicians, and executives. The breakdown of each round is listed below.

Top 100 - Gigg has the ability to pass through up to 20 entries of the 100 available spots. If Gigg chooses not to pass the allotted number of Gigg Picks, the artists next in line with the most popular votes will be passed through. Example: If in the TOP 100 round Gigg uses only 7 of the allotted 20 Gigg Picks, then 93 artists will move on based on the popular vote.

Top 40 - Gigg has the ability to pass through up to 10 entries of the 40 available spots. If Gigg chooses not to pass the allotted number of Gigg Picks, the artists next in line with the most popular votes will be passed through. Example: If in the TOP 40 round Gigg uses only 6 of the allotted 10 Gigg Picks, then 34 artists will move on based on the popular vote.

Top 10 - Gigg has the ability to pass through up to 3 entries of the 10 available spots. If Gigg chooses not to pass the allotted number of Gigg Picks, the artists next in line with the most popular votes will be passed through. Example: If in the TOP 10 round Gigg uses all 3 of the allotted 3 Gigg Picks, then 7 artists will move on based on the popular vote.

Top 4 - Gigg has the ability to pass through 1 entry of the 4 available spots. If Gigg chooses not to pass its Gigg Pick for this round, the artist next in line with the most popular votes will be passed through. Example: If in the TOP 4 round Gigg uses its allotted 1 Gigg Pick, then 3 artists will move on based on the popular vote.

Winner - Once the Top 3 artists have been chosen, the winner of the Gigg Stage competition will be chosen purely based on popular vote.

Each entry will be ranked based on their “Gigg Rating”. This rating is a combination of votes, competition entry views, and competition entry shares.
